Preparing for my hike of the John Muir Trail felt like a pretty daunting task and I sometimes struggled to find the information that I needed. Whilst there are a lot of blogs and websites out there, I found that they were generally geared towards people who already had a fair amount of backpacking experience, who weren’t coming from abroad, and who were willing to cut their toothbrush in half to reduce their pack weight.
I decided that when I got home I’d put together the information that I had found and the things that I’d learnt along the way, to help other relative newbies like me take on the John Muir Trail and other hiking adventures.
I’ve just begun writing and there is a lot more to come. I hope you find it useful!
